Both of them are just a couple of hundred feet from the New Jersey shore in New York Harbor. You can see in the photo below how close. The photo was taken from Liberty Park in New Jersey. The name, Liberty Park, comes from the closeness to the Statue but also because the park is directly opposite the World Trade Center site.
