“In Our Kitchen...You’re Family”
Situated in the Tuscan countryside at a point that borders the regions of Umbria and Lazio and not very far from Chianciano Terme is Palazzo Bandino, home of the Valerani family for six generations. The existing farmhouse is a structure consisting of 9 apartments and 4 bedrooms, all with private bathrooms. There are 10 hectares of DOCG vineyards, a cellar where there best wine ages in special oak barrels and a garden. The more than 1000 olive trees, produce one of the best extra virgin olive oils in the region and for recreation there is a swimming pool and other amenities. The Valerani family invites their guests to enjoy the fruits of their generations of labor with the hope that they will love the Palazzo and the land surrounding it, as they do.
The Valerani family is steeped in the Tuscan tradition of hospitality. Stories have been past down about how at the beginning of the century when the royal families of "Casa Savoia" came to Chianciano to relax in the baths and attend the horse shows, Grandpa Beppe would deliver wine to Villa Ramella where the Royals of Savoia resided, by attaching his two-wheeled carriage to his horse and completing the deliver. Today, your host, who runs the farm and winery is Gabriele. He has been educated as an agronomist and heads up the day to day operations. His daughter Marta deals with the Palazzo’s public contacts.
